DESIGN GRAPH
Key Notes:
- Try using just two of the four categories
- If you're using a third category, it should just serve as an accent design
- If you use all four, you'll get a muddy design

STYLE GUIDE AND VALUE CHART

- As a general rule, the more stylized the less amount of values
- Also in the same vein, the more stylized the less use of texture
- As a general rule, more realistic style more value
- Also in that same vein, more realistic more use of texture

SILHOUETTE SHAPE CHART
Key Notes:
- Simple styles tend to rely on having simple shapes
- More realistic styles tend to rely on having more complex shapes
HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT
By now, each student should have already picked four characters from their film/show. You're allowed to have no more than two characters overlap per student.
- 4 pages of character design exploration per character (No Color)
- Explore different body types
- Explore different facial expression
- Key poses
- 16 pages total (minimum)
- From all your design exploration, pick your best design for each of the characters
- You'll be putting that character in a group/team lineup
- As a team gather all the characters and put them in a lineup (so be mindful to finish early enough to coordinate)
- 16 characters total in that team lineup (if you're a group of 4)
- 20 characters total in that team lineup (if you're a group f 5)
- In that team lineup it's okay to have a character appear multiple times (because you're allowed to have characters overlap)
